ChemCloud wins Australia Good Design Award

ChemCloud Updates

ChemCloud has won an Australian Good Design award in the Digital: Apps and Software category amongst some big names and exceptional businesses.

Manufacturers are often managing complex supply chains on a combination of spreadsheets, email and paper. ChemCloud's software allows people across the business in procurement, the lab and supply chain to manage their raw materials 'all in one place'.

The Good Design Award Judges made the following remarks:

“The chemical industry has long been burdened by outdated procurement processes, characterised by manual handling of orders, extensive email correspondence, and cumbersome paper-based management.
This project represents a brilliant example of how good design can address these inefficiencies head-on. By transitioning from traditional methods to a streamlined, digital procurement platform, the design significantly enhances operational efficiency, reduces manual labor, and improves accuracy in managing orders and quotes.
The Jury is particularly impressed by how the design tackles these challenges with a deep understanding of the industry’s unique needs. The platform not only simplifies and centralises procurement processes but also introduces a modern, intuitive user interface that transforms the way stakeholders interact with the system. This approach not only modernises the procurement workflow but also sets a new standard for the industry, showcasing the powerful impact that thoughtful and innovative design can have on both user experience and business operations.”

We're thrilled to receive this award, as recognition of the role software can play in breaking down information barriers. Huge thanks to the team at Paloma Group who were integral to the design and build of ChemCloud in its early years.
